Important Notice: Potential GPS and Communication Impacts (Nov 11–13)
We’d like to make you aware that a solar storm is expected between November 11–13, 2025, which may cause temporary disruptions to GPS accuracy and satellite-based communications.
The Government of Canada has released an update regarding the effects of space weather phenomena on technology: https://www.spaceweather.gc.ca/tech/index-en.php#gps
While your Be Safe – Work Alone Monitoring app will continue to function normally, please note that:
- GPS location updates may experience reduced accuracy or short interruptions.
- Satellite-based messaging or alert systems (if used) could experience brief delays.
We recommend that all users:
- Double-check their location and check-in status during this period.
- Ensure cellular connectivity whenever possible to maintain reliable communication.
- Report any unusual behavior or location discrepancies through the in-app support or by contacting our team.
Our monitoring systems will remain active, and we will continue to track any service impacts. We’ll notify you if any further relevant updates are required.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to be safe with us.
